Soul on Fire | Finding Your Passion

“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your heart on fire”

Jeniffer Lee

Finding what sets your heart on fire is easy for some of us, and a little more difficult. Everyone is passionate about something. You might be struggling with what your passion is. And that’s’ okay. I didn’t realize what my passion was until after weeks of self-reflection and prayer. To help you on this journey, here are a few questions to ask yourself.

If you could do one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?

Not eating or sleeping, or Netflix but something that benefits those around you or even society.

I would blog for the rest of my life.

Something you’ve done since childhood that you still find yourself doing?

Poetry? Art? Dancing? Our purpose and passions often begin to manifest when we are young

I’ve been writing stories, songs, poems since I was six or seven. There’s a picture of me as a baby walking around with a pen and notepad.

What captures your attention? What excites you?

This is something that you could spend hours talking about. The very thought of it makes my happy.

I could spend hours working on my blog. Matter of fact, I do.

What moves your heart?

This is what you may have compassion for. Animals, children, people

The way in which the right combination of words can move people. This always gets me.

What are your talents? Gifts?

This is what you’re good at. Or even great at. These are things that have gotten you recognition or achievement.

I like to write. I’ve won poetry contests in school. I wrote the opening page in my senior yearbook.

What has God placed in you or in your life?

I want to also quickly address that I did lots of self-reflection, but I also prayed. God reveals the passion and the purpose inside of you when you start with having a passion for Him. So with this last question (the most important.), what has God placed in you? What has He been revealing to you?
